@WhoWouldWin13 Okay, I've seen "Alita: Battle Angel", but I have never read the Alita comics, so I'm going to base my evaluation on the movie version.

Both opponents have super speed and agility, though at first glance, Athena doesn't seem to fight at super speed. Though she can outrun
@WhoWouldWin13 a truck moving at high speeds, she isn't shown fighting at a similar speed. However, the fight scenes involving Athena and other androids may be at a super fast version of slow motion, the film makers making the fight scene slower so that we can actually see what is going
@WhoWouldWin13 on. Slow motion was used often in old action films of the 80's and 90's, and this could be the same thing. Thus, Athena could unleash some killer quick moves that could make Alita impressed.

Strength will be hard to gauge here. Both have enormous physical power, with Alita
@WhoWouldWin13 and Athena being both known to take on much larger opponents. Athena has torn the head off of a adult sized, super strong android (which seems to have been more durable, and definitely more life-like, than the other killer androids in Tomorrowland). She also pried open the
@WhoWouldWin13 hand of a 15 feet tall giant robot in the movie. Alita, however, is no wuss when it comes to facing giant robots, though she uses bladed short range weapons as well and H2H in close quarters. I cannot say who is the stronger of the two, nor who is tougher. Alita has a human
@WhoWouldWin13 brain, which, despite being cushioned in an robotic head, might be potentially susceptible to irreversible damage. Likewise, Athena took a direct hit from a truck moving at high speed, not getting up until around 10 or so seconds later. Its practically impossible to figure out
@WhoWouldWin13 which will be able to take more damage, but what has to be remembered is that Alita has a healing factor, while Athena doesn't.
What we also have to consider is that Alita has a size advantage, as well as a sword with a molecule-thick blade. Athena would have to make due with
@WhoWouldWin13 makeshift melee weapons, and those wont be anywhere near as good.

Both opponents are martial artists. Athena's uses Tae Kwon Do, though she may also have other martial arts programming. Alita's martial art, however, is Panzer Kurst, a military martial art that was invented
@WhoWouldWin13 centuries from now. Modern Tae Kwon Do is designed for both sport and self defense; Panzer Kunst, like all military martial arts, is designed to kill. Indeed, if memory serves me correctly, its also designed to fight other cyborgs and robotic beings. However, Athena is of a
@WhoWouldWin13 totally different design compared to anything in Alita's world, and thus some of her moves might not work on her (imagine using martial arts moves designed to kill a human being on a wilderbeest! Something tells me it might not work...)
Nevertheless, Panzer Kunst is undoubtedly
@WhoWouldWin13 the superior martial art. Indeed, many consider modern Tae Kwon Do as "sports fighting" a fighting style that is better designed in a sports setting than in real life, where no rules and referee are noted. However, this may be just one of Athena's martial arts of choice. Indeed,
@WhoWouldWin13 she comes from Tomorrowland, which is centuries ahead of the modern world in terms of tech and weaponry. Its likely that they are ahead of us in martial arts as well.

One thing that Athena has over Alita is battle strategy and weaponry. Athena has a "time Bomb", a grenade that
@WhoWouldWin13 freezes time in a 10 to 12 foot radius or so. Anyone caught in its blast will be frozen in time for about 90 seconds or so. While they are frozen, Athena could pull her energy pistol out and wait nearby for the time freeze to end. and when it does...
@WhoWouldWin13 Now Alita could heal from such an attack, but if that pistol hits the right area, like the brain or some other very vital area...then its all over. Athena later got a 1-kiloton device, shaped like a small metallic ball. It can explode with a kiloton of force, and I doubt that
@WhoWouldWin13 Alita could survive that. Indeed, in a #DeadliestFiction scenario online, Athena was placed against a Terminator (T-800 model 101), and in the scenario, she hits him with a time freeze grenade, sets the count down on the 1-kiloton sphere, and then runs off at super speed. By the
@WhoWouldWin13 Time the Terminator gets out of the time freeze and looks around...
@WhoWouldWin13 However, In order for Alita to be captured by the time freeze, she has to not jump out of the way before it goes off, and seeing that it takes about a second or two for it to go off, combined with the time it would take to chunk it at Alita...there is a good possibility that she
@WhoWouldWin13 could get out of the way before the time bomb takes effect.

If this gets into close quarters, I feel like Alita would win. Her speed, strength, power combined with a sword with a molecule-thin blade...I think she would take it.

Nevertheless, Athena's time freeze grenade and
@WhoWouldWin13 far greater intelligence and tactics, will make it hard for Alita to get in close for the kill.

This is a TOUGH battle, hard to decide, but in the end, intelligence and tactics, along with time bombs, beats swords.
