Many on the left laugh off Bernie's USSR honeymoon footage with him sitting around a table naked except for their towels with Russian comrades singing folk songs and drinking vodka. But no one in the media talks about how that same footage will be weaponized by the GOP.

Sanders is a master manipulator of the media and his record. He carefully constructs a narrative about his life and record that works for him politically and then makes sure to use online media outlets that don't question the created construct. He hasn't et w/the VT press in yrs.
In reality, the construct Bernie is building around himself isn't much different than the one Trump has built, albeit on the opposite end of the political spectrum. But he has created a fanbase that is equally unquestioning in its fervent belief of the messenger.
Four years of a Sanders administration would be equally toxic to the growing divide between the left and right, though anyone who's delved into Sanders past knows that his record once in the hands of the GOP will never withstand the scrutiny it and Bernie will face. /End
