Worth noting this example when Russia denies bombing bakeries, where what the @mod_russia described as a "large ISIS depot" turned out to be a bakery in non-ISIS territory.
@mod_russia How do we know what was considered ISIS and non-ISIS territory by Russia? Well the @mod_russia helpfully published a map of what it considered to be ISIS territory around the same time.
@mod_russia And where did we find this video showing Russia bombing a bakery? The @mod_russia's own YouTube channel
@mod_russia This is also a rare incident where the moment of the bombing is captured clearly on video. You can compare the shape and position of the explosions to the @mod_russia YouTube video (note the @mod_russia footage is sped up).
@mod_russia There were a large number of videos published by the @mod_russia in late 2015, showing the Russian air force striking targets described as belonging to ISIS, but geolocation showed that in nearly all cases the targets were in non-ISIS territory.
@mod_russia Once we started publishing about Russia's lies about who and where it was bombing, the video descriptions became much more vague, talking about "fighters" and "terrorists" instead of ISIS, and being less specific about where they were supposedly bombing.
