just had to google "bon iver" to see if it was a person or a band and what kind of music they play. i am relentlessly old.
most of the music i like, when i like music, is pop music that gets repeated on the radio a lot. spice girls, beyonce, katy perry, britney. for the son of a musician i dont have eclectic music taste.
i cant really understand most modern pop. it is not for me. and that's ok. probably the most recent things i like have been kesha or taylor swift.
i tried to listen to radiohead once and my very sophisticated takeaway was that "it sounds like clicks and whirs."
i also hate it when mass appeal pop musicians i like get all "artsy." like that last katy perry album. swift too. just give me the bubble gum with the hook. thanks.
to show what a music philistine i am, i got into the who's baba o'reilly because they always run it in movie ads
and i like emerson lake and palmer's karn evil 9 cause fox ran it a lot one year for the world series. im horrible.
