@FrederickIsasi Trend #1: Value A new norm: people in America now expect access to health care without having to sacrifice their financial security. With this new norm, affordability - rather than coverage - will rise to the forefront of the healthcare movement.
Trend #2: Equity The currency and power of the health equity movement will quickly grow due to America's shifting power dynamics; in particular, its changing demographics. In two decades, people of color will be the majority and there will be a recognition that our collective future rests on addressing inequities.
Trend #3: #Medicaid Efforts on the State Level With a political stalemate at the federal level, the fight to either undermine or improve Medicaid continues in the states.

This is the sort of thing we don't hear about, usually. But the simple, human caring that Ms Freeland demonstrates is exactly what we should have in a top and guiding role in government. I am so touched by the empathy and compassion and decency of this. 2/20
What we need in our governments in Canada are good, decent human beings who care deeply about others. People who earnestly want to make a difference. People who have empathy, compassion, and a will to improve lives for even the most vulnerable and disadvantaged. 3/20
