I was praying this morning, “Lord, show me some good in the lie-filled speech Trump gave last night.” Here it is: he is so arrogant he laid out his entire campaign & all the lies he intends to tell. That’s all he has.
NOW IS THE TIME FOR TRUTH-TELLERS TO ARISE, MOBILIZE, ORGANIZE, REGISTER, & EDUCATE PEOPLE FOR THE MOVEMENT WHO VOTE—not for a particular personality, but to save the heart and soul of the democracy.
Over 100 million people who could vote didn’t in 2016.
If this kind of lying from the highest office in the land doesn’t motivate people to vote, then we have a problem much bigger than one man.

One definition of moderate is “middle ground.” The other is “reasonable.” So I ask, what is the middle ground we should look for when 30 mil ppl are w/out health insurance, 250,000 die from poverty each year & 62 mil work every day w/out living wages?
Or what’s a reasonable compromise w/ racist voter suppression & refusal to restore the VRA & expand access to the ballot? Why can’t we just say some things are wrong?
The way some talk of middle ground, it sounds like let’s reduce poverty & low wages a little bit, but not enough to make anybody mad. No wonder 100 mil Americans stay home & don’t even bother to vote.

I know we are in a political competition, but we are also in a moral crisis. We need more than any one candidate can do. Remember, Trump said, “I & I alone can fix this.” We the people must call for a different politics, whether it happens or not.
Support strongly your candidate, but don’t destroy those you disagree with. We’ve got to build an historic fusion coalition to revive the heart of democracy.
Anyone who follows me knows I’m not talking about extremists, authoritarians, racists etc. I mean candidates who have legitimate differences, but they are against Trump. Disagree, but don’t destroy. If we can’t do that, then we run the risk of becoming what we hate.
