I just heard a .Gov.uk radio ad claiming #Brexit could bring me "new opportunities" .

Unlike political advertising, Gov Awareness campaigns are subject to @ASA_UK.

ASA_UK that statement is not balanced or on average correct. On Gov's own data.

One surely to all complain about?
If you would like to make a complaint about this Radio Ad playing nationally on many stations, you can do so as a member of the public 🔽

Ignore comments about political bias to Ofcom. Government Awareness advertising is NOT political party advertising.

Ooh what a great idea. Fundamental constraints against the removal of democratic human rights we could get rid of through some useful accidents or deaths.

Surely worth of a list.

Here's the tricky thing. Some of the attached are true. Do you know which? Add yours
1. NHS could be #temporarily "rationed" or "premium queued" to deal with an overwhelming strain on its resources from a Chinese virus.
2. Legal Aid and the right to a fair trial could be #temporarily reduced to deal with a huge backlog at the courts.

It’s understood her original preference was to ask EU for a short extension which could be lengthened if needed, or a long one with a break clause in it.
But @MichelBarnier told me yesterday that it’s short or long, not both.
.@MichelBarnier also made clear that a specific reason must be given to warrant an extension: “Needs to be linked to something new - a new event, new political process.“
So:
- election?
- 2nd referendum?
- new cross-party political declaration (removing May red lines)?
