In January 2017 I endorsed @KamalaHarris and @SenGillibrand as the best ticket for 2020. I cited Harris's pragmatic left-leaning centrism and her charisma, with Gillibrand's accessible progressivism. I cited their relative youth and dynamic resumes.

Gillibrand was felled early by the grossest of misogyny. Harris seemed in it to win it. A huge opening rally in Oakland of 20k, lots of TV advantage due to the Kavanaugh & Barr hearings where she was mesmerizingly good. But the MSM was in love with Beto and he kept failing up.

So story after story came out about Beto, while Harris got no press until she began to falter in the polls, felled by stumbling on healthcare while being strafed repeatedly by Biden and his campaign who recognized her as a threat, calling her "slippery and slick."

Harris got a TIME cover & a ton of TV time, but it was already months in. The MSM was desperate for a Biden/Bernie match. So even though Warren had risen to 2nd place & Harris remained in 4th or 5th, when staff complained to the media about internal problems, her cash dried up.

On Dec.3 she dropped out. It was a devastating loss for many. I was stunned. The lack of support from black voters, who were all-in for Biden and the failure to raise $$$ forced her out. The MSM had propped up male centrists Beto & Biden to the detriment of an actual Dem star.

Both Biden and Beto got continual "sure he's failing, but he could beat Trump anyway" stories. Harris continued to also beat Trump in match-ups, but she needed money. That it is harder for black & female candidates to raise cash was never noted. A vicious cycle.

While Harris was diving in the polls, the MSM went after Warren with a vengeance. She became the only candidate tasked with explaining her healthcare plan. Biden doesn't have one, Bernie can't pay fot his and Buttigieg's is fluid, but...where was Warren's homework?

Fast foward through months of that same harangue and then the attack of the billionaires came. Warren revealed her smart tax plan and the MSM literally put crying billionaires on the news to yell at That Meanie Warren. Bill Gates claimed he'd have nothing left.

Where the MSM pundits had said Harris laughed too loudly, Warren was labelled "strident." While the attacks on Harris and Warren continued, Bernie nearly died from a massive heart attack & Biden had repeated episodes of forgetting where he was. But the women got the bad press.

Now, in Feb 2020, literally all the newspaper endorsements have gone to Warren or Klobuchar. Yet the MSM re-write continues. Biden has been proven the same weak candidate he was in previous iterations and Bernie has added little new to his 1980 stump speech.

The MSM still wants a white male narrative, so Biden is propped up after every failure, and in pure journalistic malpractice, no one demands either man's medical records (Warren put hers up months ago, unasked).

Nor will a single news outlet or moderator cite the obvious: Biden and Bernie will be nearly 80 at Inauguration Day and can only be one-term candidates. The history of one-term candidates is disastrous for Democrats. This race should be between Warren and Klobuchar. Period.

The @nytimes got it right: Warren has vision and depth and the future can be viewed with clarity through her plans and policy. Klobuchar is a solid centrist with ideas. Where Biden is running on the past, she is running on the future, at 20yrs Biden's junior.

@nytimes I have no doubt that Bernie, Biden and Buttigieg all want the best for America. So do Warren & Klobuchar. And in the current match-ups, all five beat Trump. The road to electability is through voting. We need a strong, 2-term nominee. We have two superb choices in the women.
