NEWS: While @StatusCoup covered @PeteButtigieg NH rally earlier that WE HAD MEDIA CREDENTIALS FOR, a Buttigieg staffer went up to my cameraman @cinematicjones—an African American—& pulled his name tag off before saying:
"I don't think you're supposed to have credentials.”

That staffer was the one who ripped @cinematicjones's name tag off (which we got when we signed in). B4 that, we were followed by @PeteButtigieg staffer outside as we interviewed people on line. As soon as we walked inside, a staffer came up to me asking if "we snuck in."
After
1) Being followed outside by a staffer who acknowledged she was following me when I approached her
2) Asked by another staffer if we snuck in (no).
3) @cinematicjones having his name tag pulled off his jacket
A DIFFERENT staffer came up and apologized

This was staffer following us UP/DOWN line to get in as we interviewed people. Interviews were unremarkable--zero tensions or incidents (maybe one uncomfortable person that I asked his policies/accomplishments). When I said to her "you're not being subtle" she responded "I know."
Here is @cinematicjones, my freelance cameraman who was just doing his job when a @PeteButtigieg staffer came up to him, touched his jacket, yanked his name tag off (which we were given when we SIGNED IN AT PRESS DESK).
CONTEXT: After @StatusCoup reported in South Bend & broke story about @PeteButtigieg's South Bend cops imitating KKK members while arresting a black man (& Pete's silence while his police chief lied about it), the campaign removed us from their email list medium.com/status-coup/ex…
Since we were removed from his campaign's email list, we couldn't apply for credentials to cover events. Thankfully, a fellow journalist forwarded us the emails we weren't being sent and we applied for his NH events. We received credential approval last night for several events. 
The interviews we did outside were uneventful--there was zero issue. Frankly, when @PeteButtigieg's staffers say they were receiving "reports" of us "disturbing people on line"--that's just bs. As you will see as we post the interviews, there was ZERO issue...
What most likely occurred was the campaign has us on a BOLO list (be on the lookout) and once they saw us in the event, there was concern since we've done critical FACTUAL reporting on @PeteButtigieg rather than the rest of the compliant stenographers masquerading as journalists.
I reached out to @PeteButtigieg national press secretary over 5 hours ago suggesting an apology to @cinematicjones and with some questions. He has not responded--which says a lot about Buttigieg and his campaign.
In 5 years reporting in-the-field across the country, I have never had a campaign have someone follow/monitor me for a half hour while interviewing people and then touch me or my cameraman (in this case pull @cinematicjones's name tag off).
