1. We know from multiple studies/reports by both public and private entities that Huawei product security is at absolute best case incredibly weak, shoddy, or bad. They have been warned repeatedly about this deficiency by no less than the UK for the entire decade about 2/n
their terrible product security. Multiple private security firms have done detailed work on the large number of security holes in Huawei products. We have seen many cases of things being what are called "hard coded" meaning effectively there is no way to change this. 3/n
2. We know that China gives itself this access domestically to be able to access any network, communication, or almost device in the country. 3. We know that Huawei personnel have talked about (from my own research) working with MSS, PSB, and international information 4/n
interception but similar things have been found by a variety of others into how Huawei is able to target users. So in summary, I do not know what specific method they are saying Huawei uses or has access to BUT I can say with absolutely certainty, everyone knows Huawei 5/n
product security is at best non-existent which anyone there would know how to then access the network or devices, we know they use that access domestically to tap information, we know they talk about and work with people intercepting information, and we have instances 6/n
Where we can tie them to cases quite definitely. I have never witnessed Huawei accessing networks or devices overseas. I know they have foreign data and information and they have everything else. Yes, Huawei can do everything this report claims.
