1. The two big stories yesterday were Trump's continued corruption of the rule of law and the primary race in New Hampshire which (cough, cough) Bernie Sanders won. Let's try and connect the two.
2. Trump's corruption is reaching a new level and it's a dangerous moment for America. Ideally, it would be fought with a bipartisan coalition. We know that's not happening. So it has to be fought by the Democrats. But primaries will keep the party divided in near term.
3. Bernies popular vote victories in Iowa and NH have made him the frontrunner. It's unlikely that the number 2 candidate, Buttigieg, will get far now that he has to compete in states that aren't overwhelmingly white. Still, Sanders coalition needs to grow. It'll be a slog
4. In the meantime Pelosi will hold investigations, which is good. but the anti-Trump movement would really benefit from having a Democratic nominee to rally around. More thoughts here: thenation.com/article/politi…
