The thing about Trump I least understand is how his supporters love hearing him whine.
He's spent the last 5 minutes straight reading off random numbers from pieces of paper he took to the podium with him – I think the numbers are supposed to be internet "poll" results of how he did in the 2016 election? – and whining about how someone on Fox said he did bad.
Trump is visibly, obsessively aggrieved and whingey over some random ass Fox news pundit who said he didn't do great at the debates. He's the goddamn president, and he thinks his supporters want to hear him whine for probably 10 minutes now about this.
And he's right. They do.

He spent some more time whining about Fox, but now he's whining about how the news cameras wait for a little old couple to leave their seats to go to the bathroom, and then the media films the empty seats.
Now he's screaming at the media to turn the cameras to show the crowds.

It's all disturbing, delusional stuff. Words can't really explain how bizarre it all is. But always it's packed to the gills with the whining.
Anyway, his followers truly, subjectively believe that his whining is evidence of how strong and manly he is. And I guess it proves I'm one of those coastal elites, but I am utterly incapable of understanding how someone can think that way.
