Looks like her campaign even listed his website security consultations for Hill as an in kind contribution with a value of $500! 
After her fundraisers husband attacked the websites of her opponents, Katie Hill narrowly won the Democratic primary before going on to narrowly win the general election.
Apparently the genius used his own credit card to pay for one of the accounts used in the hack. He also had his personal email account listed as the back up email on one of the accounts too!

More details on the attacks against their websites, look like a simple Distributed Denial of Service attack, basically using bots to send so many requests to a website that it crashes. Not the same as a hack though as Intercept calls it.
