The flurry of activity over the possible realignment of the country’s political landscape continues on Tuesday (Feb 25) with several events scheduled to take place.

Here is the timeline:

8:05am: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin visits Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad at his private residence at the Mines Resort. He was seen entering in a black Vellfire.
Also spotted at the residence were Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir and several supreme council members, as well as women’s wing chief Datuk Seri Rina Harun.

All arrived after Muhyiddin.
9am: Selangor MB Amirudin Shari arrives at Istana Bukit Kayangan with Selangor DAP chairman Gobind Singh Deo and state Parti Amanah Negara chief Izham Hashim for audience with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah

9:05am: Bursa Malaysia opens lower on political uncertainties, Bernama reports. The Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) slid 7.46 points to 1,482.60 from yesterday's sell-off that saw the index losing 2.68% or 41.14 points at 1490.06 points.

9:30am: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad returns to Perdana Putra to begin work as interim Prime Minister.
10:25am: Former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail arrives at the Putra Perdana building, which also houses the Deputy Prime Minister's Office (DPMO).

It is not known whether she is there to meet Dr Mahathir Mohamad, or to meet her staff at the DPMO.
10:35am: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim seen leaving his residence in Segambut, Bernama reports.
10.35am: Attorney General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas seen entering Istana Negara. Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah of Umno also spotted.

It is also understood that Chief Justice Datuk Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat entered Istana Negara to seek an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
10:40am: PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim seen entering Putra Perdana, as talk is rife that Tun Dr Mahathir is meeting party leaders.
11am: Selangor MB Amirudin Shari, state DAP chairman Gobind Singh Deo and state Parti Amanah Negara chief Izham Hashim leave Istana Bukit Kayangan after audience with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

11:20am: Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin arrives. Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is also said to have arrived at PMO.
11.40am: Former PKR deputy president Datuk Seri Azmin Ali seen entering PMO.
11:50am: Former Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik seen entering Istana Negara. He came out of his SUV and gave media personnel lychee drinks before entering Gate 2. He is the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia MP for Simpang Renggam.
12:23pm: Armed forces chief's car seen entering Istana Negara.
12:30pm: In a briefing, Comptroller of the Royal Family and Household Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said the Yang di-Pertuan Agong will be interviewing about 90 MPs one by one today to ascertain who has the majority in the Parliament.
12:30pm: The rest of the 221 MPs will be interviewed tomorrow (Feb 26). It is expected that the 90 MPs will be coming in, starting 2.30pm.
1:15pm: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah surprises the media by bringing them McDonald's for lunch.

"Sedap (delicious). I'm hungry," said His Majesty as he took a French fry and ate it.

2.20pm: Former Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik and Keningau MP Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan arrive at Istana Negara to be interviewed by the King.
2.50pm: A charter bus half-full with PAS MPs arrive at Istana Negara for their interview with the King.
2:55pm: Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow has arrived at the Governor's residence at Seri Mutiara here to have an audience with Penang Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas.
3:20pm: Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah has arrived at Istana Negara for his interview with the King.
3:40pm: A convoy of vehicles ferrying Umno MPs just entered Istana Negara, including two charter buses and several cars.

Seen in the bus was Umno secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who waved to the media. Datuk Seri Najib Razak's vehicle was also seen in the convoy.
3.50pm: The vehicle of former youth and sports minister Khairy Jamaluddin just entered Gate 2 of Istana Negara.
GPS' support was conveyed to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and to Dr Mahathir himself on Sunday (Feb 23) by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

4:45pm: Petra Jaya MP Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof from GPS tells members of the media that each MP had two to three minutes with the King.

"There was an item that we had to sign," he said on his way out after being interviewed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
5:00pm: Business as usual for Melaka government, says Chief Minister Adly Zahari, adding that the weekly state exco meeting will be held on Wednesday (Feb 26).

5:44pm: Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin jokes that he nominated his own name as Prime Minister during his interview with the King.

"It was good, it went well. It only took two minutes. I nominated my own name," he said, drawing laughter from the media.
5:45pm: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong seen leaving the palace after an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

When asked who has his support, Dr Wee said not to speculate and to wait for the announcement by the King.
5:50pm: Top leaders from PKR, DAP and Amanah arrive at PKR headquarters for special meeting.

Among those seen arriving were Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng, Anthony Loke, Mohamad Sabu and Datuk Seri Mujahid Yusof Rawa.

6.30pm: Umno secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa said in a special press conference that Umno is ready to support Dr Mahathir if he forms a new coalition on the condition that DAP is excluded.
6.37pm: In an audience with the King, Barisan Nasional, PAS and PBRS MPs unanimously state that they want a dissolution of Parliament, said Annuar Musa.

6.40pm: "We should go back to the polls and let the people decide. The people's mandate should not be neglected. We ask that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong allows for the Parliament to be dissolved," said Annuar Musa.
6.50pm: MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said the party presidential meeting had unanimously decided that the power to decide should be returned to the people.

He said the political crisis was "self inflicted" by Pakatan, which saw its collapse.
8.43pm: Amanah says Pakatan Harapan still has a sufficient number of MPs to form the government.

"Sufficient," said Khalid Abdul Samad briefly when quizzed by reporters if Pakatan has the support of a simple majority of 112 MPs.
