Time to move on to some #DavesCarIDService: the fashionable babe is swinging her cape in front of a 1960ish Jaguar XK150, and if Jimmy Smith were pictured he'd be in back of a Hammond B-3 with a Leslie speaker
Daniel-san's options were (L-R) 1958ish Nash Metropolitan, 1952 Pontiac Streamliner "tin woody," 1942 Cadillac, and the eventual and correct choice, a 1948 Ford Super Deluxe convertible
Bush pere's car is a 1936 Chevy, but the high roofline indicates some sort of coachbuilt limo, ambulance, etc. In any event the photo is closer to circa 1940 than circa 1930

rest assured my presidential library will be free of such blatant ahistorical automotive misinformation
1959 Ford Galaxie, next to its ill-fated cousin, 1959 Edsel Ranger. After the 1960 model year it would be put out of its misery
It's sort of tragic that 'Edsel' became synonymous with ugly failure. Edsel Ford (along with Bob Gregorie) was largely responsible for the gorgeous styling of 1928-42 Ford cars.
And BTW, it's not a "Ford Edsel," Edsel was its own brand like Mercury or Lincoln, although it share components with other FoMoCo lines. In 1956-57 Ford also had the short lived ultra luxury Continental brand.
Similarly Imperial was a separate brand, not model, for Chrysler Corp 1955-75. You might call it a "Chrysler Imperial" but nothing on the car says "Chrysler" and the title will say "Imperial" as the make.
It's a great pic, but I may need an assist on this one. Pop-out 2 piece windshield and Klaxon horn indicate very early (1921-25) low price sedan. I'll venture guess as 1924 Nash but not 100% certain
#1, 1959 Ford Galaxie; #2 1960 Ford Galaxie; #3 circa 1960 Murray Fire Chief pedal car
Murray was an off-brand bike (and other stuff) company from Cleveland, making Schwinn knockoffs for Sears and under their own name for gas stations and tire stores. Likely that Fire Chief pedal car was purchased at a Firestone tire dealer.
Allow me to settle the debate: 1964 Chrysler 300K
*that doesn't mean a Chrysler 300,000. Chrysler 300 model was intro-ed in 1955 as the C-300 (C was for Chrysler), 1956 was the 300B, 1957 the 300C, and so forth, going one more letter into the alphabet for every subsequent model year
Joltin' Joe & his paisanos were delivered to the House That Ruth Built in a 1933-34 Buick sedan
1953 Ford Crestline, last model year of the Ford flathead V8, and with the optional Borg Warner overdrive transmission. "Overdrive" simply means a <1:1 drive ratio, with the driveshaft spinning faster than the engine.
Gramps & the puppers are with a 1940 Chevy business coupe
1961 Buick LeSabre wagon, and if those fat meats, roll bar, and Recaro racing seats are any indication it mainly hauls ass instead of groceries
1934 Ford Fordor sedan, and may I say it's delightful to see a hot rod in Manhattan
*I've seen many hot rods in NYC, but only in Brooklyn - site of the annual Rumblers car show at Union Pool bar
Austin by comparison is lousy with hot rods. These are all 1932 Ford "Dueces," two 5 window coupes and a Tudor sedan, and belong to acquaintances of mine
These 4 gals are looking like they're ready to belt out "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" in front of a 1941 Mercury
That's it for the car IDing today, I'll try to get caught up tomorrow
