If #Warren gets essentially shut out today, we need some serious talks and action to combat our country's internalized misogyny. (Even if she doesn't get shut out, we need to have that conversation and action.)
Has her campaign been flawless? No. Are there very good reasons for voters to prefer other candidates? Of course. Would a male candidate with the same profile have fared better in this race? Absolutely.

When Hillary Clinton ran for Senate in 2000, her campaign was worried about the fact that in focus groups, suburban women complained that she reminded them of their mother-in-laws and their own mothers, which wow.
Short of putting every American on the therapist's couch, there must be some tangible steps we can take. A woman will only "sound presidential" after we've had a female president--and that's a Catch-22 that makes my head hurt.
In the meantime--and I'll have public details about this soon--I'm going to spend the next eight months going to get my white women. The Catholics, the mainliners, and yes, the evangelicals. And we're going to have some chats.
