Thinking further about this: it might take a few more weeks to get to this, but extending the transition period because of Coronavirus is a win all round - helps UK Govt look like they are taking Corona seriously, and coupling the two would make it hard for MPs to resist...

Oh and before anyone goes "you're playing politics with Corona" in response to this, how about "well, trying to do a Trade Deal with the EU in 11 months is playing politics with the future of the country" - aka *none* of this is sensible.
