i think xers and boomers spent so much of our formative years watching tv that it rules our worlds still -- and it's not good for you. for most of my life i was a tv addict but now, especially for actual information, its just utterly useless. fun entertainment, though.
i grew up w brokaw, jennings, and rather and while they were far from perfect, we're so far away from that. and they were a step down from the earlier generation. just don't watch and you'll be surprised that you're still quite informed. i'd argue moreso.
be aware i had a job where something like 60-80% of it was watching cable news. i did this for 13 years. so honestly, i know wtf im talking about on this.
when i do video clipping for my current position i try as much to just go to the primary source so i can avoid cable news. *nothing happens on cable news* its just blah blah blah blather. they don't teach you anything.
