Berrnie gave a good stump speech on healthcare issues with regard to #coronavirus/#COVID19. His policy, especially on sick workers is good & crucially important, but the quick dissovle to "the Establishment"instead of to Trump and the GOP was a missed opportunity.

One of the major distinguishing factors between Bernie and Warren was her vast array of policy proposals and her refusal to get stuck in the single note of "billionaires!" Also, she repeatedly said, "Look--I'm.a Democrat and as a Democrat I think X." And she wasn't angry 24/7.
It's clear Bernie is stressed by the prospect of Tuesday's voting. The irony for Bernie is that he should be the candidate people shift to in this crisis, but he is extra cranky instead of extra accessible and it is not what people are looking for. They want stability & comfort.

Symone Sanders is a black woman who worked tremendously hard on Bernie Sanders' 2016 campaign and last night one of Bernie's supporters hit her in the head and knocked her down.

That's not progressivism, that's white nationalism.
Get your freaking sh*t together, people.
If you don't like that Symone Sanders switched teams, maybe ask WHY she did so--and why Bernie didn't fight to keep her. But injuring her at a rally? That ain't it.

In the midst of a pandemic & concomitant impending global economic disaster, it is frankly unnerving to see Sanders' staff on here arguing with other staff members' former bosses rather than putting together SOMETHING to address these crises when Bernie's campaign is crashing.
So @ewarren put out a plan for #coronavirus in January. Ten days ago she put out a comprehensive plan for economic recovery (she had worked on #TARP in 2009). Biden or Bernie should be trying to get her AND her plans on board. Her resume on these issues is stellar--and essential.
Both Biden and Bernie should be issuing statements this morning about the #StockMarketCrash2020. This would help ameliorate the situation by presenting a competent and knowledgeable alternative to Trump. I do hope there is someone on there staffs to do this.

Some of Trump's top advisors were exposed to #COVID19/#coronavirus at #CPAC. Among them: Kellyanne Conway and Betsy DeVos. Also everybody's fave duo: Diamond & Silk.

The fascinating aspect of the fear rippling through those who attended CPAC, is these are people fundamentally opposed to science. They literally disbelieve the objective FACT of science, which includes the evolution of viruses and bacteria. They oppose vaccines.
Yet now as people in biohazard suits and face shields take nasal swabs to test for #coronavirus, the objective FACT of science is undeniable. Thoughts and prayers don't stop bullets or viruses. Yet the GOP will STILL refuse to hold Trump to account for his anti-science bungling.

Death is the most emotional subject we as humans must deal with. And we all must deal with it. But there is no truly rational way to deal with death. There are ways one could argue make life while living more enjoyable, but rationality is out of the question.
So, one of the primary ways we as humans deal with death is to create a heuristic about death. We think of deaths as normal or tragic. A 95-year-old passing away in their sleep surrounded by loved ones? We have a “celebration of life” rather than a grim funeral.

Important update about Coronavirus COVID-19 case reported in Hyderabad. A 24 year old techie who works in Bengaluru had traveled to Dubai on 17th Feb on official work. Apparently few of his teammates came from Hongkong. He came back to India after four days. 1/n
The said techie came to Hyderabad from Bengaluru in a bus. He fell sick after reaching Hyderabad and took initial treatment at Apollo Hospitals, Secunderabad branch. The patient is now transferred to Gandhi hospital and is being treated in isolation ward. 2/n
CM Sri KCR has instructed the Health Dept and Municipal Administration Department to take necessary precautions. Isolation wards have been set up in Gandhi Hospital and Chest Hospital in Hyderabad.

In 2003, the world experienced an outbreak of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome). I was in med school. Initially, the illness seemed to be linked with travel to China, but the Chinese government was not saying anything about it.
The cause of SARS was completely unknown, and it was five months between the illness first appearing and the World Health Organization (WHO) becoming significantly involved, alerting public health authorities around the world.
