Rep. Katie Porter writing the cost of testing on a white board while grilling the CDC's Redfield.
Porter got Redfield, after he punted several times, to agree that CDC would cover the costs of coronavirus testing for all Americans, regardless of whether they have health insurance: "I think you're an excellent questioner so my answer is yes." c-span.org/video/?470277-…
Part of what's good about this is Porter's recognition that a congressional hearing is theater. It's for public consumption. She used a prop to communicate the cost of tests and the public setting to get Redfield to commit. Kind of ideal oversight. motherjones.com/politics/2020/…

The White House knew these guys were testifying on the Hill. They set this conflicting meeting anyway. They were either indifferent to this oversight hearing or actively trying to shorten it.
Asked about this, the WH acknowledges they scheduled a coronavirus meeting that conflicted with the House Oversight hearing: “This meeting was scheduled yesterday and is part of the Administration’s ongoing whole-of-government response to the Coronavirus," a WH official says.
Meanwhile, the Oversight Committee says: "This hearing will resume tomorrow morning at 11AM."

Redfield: "The test was always available in Atlanta." Says you could always get tested if sample could be mailed there.
Instead of asking questions of the experts at this Oversight hearing on coronavirus, Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.) is complaining about what he calls the "politicization" of the crisis. The ranking member, Rep. Jim Jordan, (R.-Ohio) has left the hearing. No questions from him.
Rep. Green ended his questionless rant by quoting Obama appointee and former CDC director "Tom Friedman" He meant Tom Frieden.

My son received 48 vaccines before his 6th birthday. Many of them unnecessary “boosters” only to comply with the #CDC flawed schedule. He had a seizure at 2 1/2 years right after his 2nd #MMR shot (3 days to be exact) He developed a fever of 104 degrees and he nearly died in
The ambulance. Forward 1 week, he started to exhibit hand flapping, his speech regressed, he ceased eye contact, started speaking incoherently and started to be bothered by loud noises crowds and started smacking his own head several times a day.
Before all of this started, we had missed a “well child” visit with our then pediatrician and she confronted us with a vicious attack “why would you miss a well child visit child for him this is child abuse!!” Her nature as relentless in shaming us.
