It is serious. Don't listen to the voices that play it down.
But also don't panic.

The problem with SARS-CoV-2 is that the treatment of severe cases (~5-10%) require ..

Here in Germany, we have 29k intensive care beds, most of them occupied long before COVID19.
If only 1% of the citizens get sick, that would be 830k citizens, 83k of them with the severe clinical course of the disease.

3/x I guess you can imagine what that means.

Italy is about 10 days ahead of us.
Doctors in Italy decide every morning in a so called "triage" who gets a bed with lung ventilator and who doesn't, which is basically a death sentence.
These patients slowly suffocate.

4/x The mortality rate varies from country to country. People often compare it with the flu, but this comparison is flawed.

It highly depends on the availability of lung ventilators & intensive care beds.

It is crucial to #FlattenTheCurve, by avoiding direct social contacts.

Notes:
1. Incubation time is usually between 3-10 days
2. 70% only show mild symptoms
3. Mortality rate rises with age
4. No kid <12y died so far
5. Ppl with preexisting conditions are also at higher risk

Tips:
1. Disinfectant solutions have to be effective against all viruses (>95% alcohol), most of them don't
2. Consider UV-C or Ozone as alternatives.
(I've built a UV-C steriliser box. The pictures shows MARK I. I am already working on MARK III, which is much bigger)

3. Supplement vitamin C (500mg+), D (2000 IE+) and Zinc (15mg+) to boost your immune systems
5. Some air filters that filter virus particles can help
6. Buy a SpO2 sensor to monitor the O2 levels of your sick loved ones
