I fear our government, opposition and media judge our response by the craziness down south - and think we are being prudent: that comparison is too low a bar 2/
Our airports continue to import cases from around the world hourly. Our officials say it’s fine to go out in groups of 249 or less. 3/
To their credit, it’s our business sector that is acting fastest and most boldly to #flattenthecurve. Closing, sending people to work from home, canceling events, etc. 4/
Please, all elected officials and media: question our decision makers carefully and resolutely. On Whistler, on encouraging people to go to restaurants, on not cancelling school, on not properly securing our airport, and not imposing a stay-at-home order. 5/
It’s fine to like Horgan or Dix or Dr Bonnie and appreciate the difference in their tone compared to Trump. It’s not ok to push them for answers or hold them to account. 6/
There must be an estimate of how many people will get this and how long the outbreak will last. There must be an estimate or model of how many untested people have it right now. Let’s hear it.
