THREAD: Yesterday, the UCP government were unable to answer questions about how they will help Albertans through the #COVID19AB pandemic. Today, I am providing our questions in advance in the hope that it gives them a chance to provide real answers to Albertans. #ableg

➡️Can the Premier tell us what conditions he believes must be met before to declare a provincial emergency?
➡️If the Premier declares a state of emergency, what additional powers would be granted to the Government?
➡️Premier, if not now, when? #ableg

➡️Will the Government of Alberta provide income support to those Albertans NOT covered by EI?
➡️Will the Government of Alberta top up EI?
➡️Will the Government of Alberta also ensure EI will be provided to parents, laid off workers, and small business owners? #ableg

➡️Premier, will your government immediately ban evictions and rent hikes??
➡️Will you ban utility rate hikes and utility shut offs until this pandemic is over?
➡️Will you any evictions of businesses until this crisis has been resolved? #ableg

➡️If #COVID19AB spreads and we see thousands of Albertans require hospitalization, have you made plans to take over hotels? How many? In which locations? And how many additional beds total will that provide? #ableg

➡️I am hoping for some specifics I have seen your letter to the Prime Minister stating you are seeking 90,000 swabs, 500,000 N95 masks and 600,000 face shields. Why do we need such large orders? Are we short hundreds of thousands of masks and face shields? #ableg

➡️What steps are you taking to ensure seniors continue to have access to reliable transportation, housing, food, drugs, and urgent health care needs?

➡️What current protections are in place in seniors homes and for seniors in long-term care. Can you please outline the steps that you are taking and what additional resources are available for these seniors in your updated budget? #ableg

➡️What measures is the gov putting in place to support these front-line health and service workers, many of whom are women, that are a growing labour force here in Alberta? #ableg
