This is nonsense and an insult to the men and women at the CDC, HHS, and other public health agencies who have been working on coronavirus since early January

This was before the first death was even reported out of China, and during a period when the Chinese were still claiming there was "no evidence" the virus could spread between humans

To put this in perspective, when the CDC started responding to the coronavirus outbreak, the House still had not sent articles of impeachment to the Senate...and wouldn't for another week

Before the end of January, the Trump Administration had set up a White House Coronavirus Task Force, declared a public health emergency, and imposed new China travel restrictions

At the same time, the Administration was accused of ***overreacting*** by imposing a travel ban by some in the media, even though public health officials said it was necessary

Prominently, that piece essentially accused the Administration of "stigmatizing" the Chinese by imposing a travel ban

Sound familiar?

The only reason that the U.S. could not respond earlier is because Chinese officials covered up the initial outbreak and cost the rest of the world weeks in responding, possibly months
