In 68,3% of cases, there is at least one preexisting pathology (cardiovascular, respiratory, diabetes, immunodeficiency, metabolic syndrome, cancer, obesity, kidney disease or other chronic pathologies).
Only the first 3 confirmed cases in Lazio (Rome’s region) are linked to journeys to China. All the other cases (with epicenter in Lombardy) issue from community transmission.
So far 8.802 clinical statuses have been processed:
573 (6,5%) cases are asymptomatic
631 (7,2%) few symptoms
1.078 (12,2%) without mention of gravity
3.970 (45,1%) light symptoms,
2.112 (24,0%) severe symptoms requiring hospitalization
438 (5,0%) critical requiring ICU
