A few days ago I wondered how to best coordinate shopping and other tasks for vulnerable groups in my neighbourhood in Berlin

It has subsequently become clear that while there is a need, I was using a sledgehammer to crack a nut

This thread summarises what has happened so far
Here's the original blog post:
jonworth.eu/specification-…

First problem: it's actually not a simple task to build that

Second problem: everyone can use WordPress, but is WordPress any good for that?
Third problem: don't people fall back on what they know in times of crisis?

Fourth problem: how well do I really know what people need?
Cue ideas exchanged on the email list for my building, that revealed some ideas for weekly co-ordering from online services offered by supermarkets, and the idea to run a fixed collection route each day
So what is a Minimum Viable Product here?

The answer - for now - is a series of Google Forms. One for EXPRESS orders, one for DAILY orders, and one for weekly COLLECTIVE orders. Tailored to the needs of the community
Is it as good as could be? No. Will we have to change it? Quite probably. Is it the most information-efficient way to do this? Perhaps not, but it will do for now
Once I have tested it a bit further I will publish anonymised versions of the Google Forms on my blog for others to use, copy, experiment with etc.
I have also entered my ideas for the German Government's #WirvsVirus #Coronavirus #COVIDー19 hackathon, in the hope of getting some more assistance. But my guess is that's overloaded, so I am not counting on that...
Now let's see if this actually works 💪
