COVID-19 is a big deal. Yet, it only serves as a means to an even greater end, namely God’s glory. How? Well, we don’t know all the answers but a few observations:

1. Though we do not know how, God is using it for the good of His people. Not that COVID-19 is good but that He is *using* it for good (Rom 8:28). Perhaps to trust Him more. To be less dependent on self and our current way of life. To expose idols that have crept in.
To grow us in our love for Him and one another. To love the local church more. To consider the preciousness of Christ. To price the Scriptures.

felt the fear, felt the weight of brevity of life, but refused to trust the Lord. Tragedy, pandemics, and disaster should cause a man or woman to break out of their faux sense of control and to see their sins against a holy God
and to be reminded they deserve even worse and to look to Jesus our King in repentance and faith. How foolish to waste such an opportunity for repentance.
3. It is okay and even proper in many ways to consider COVID-19 as a big deal. It certainly is a very big deal. We are living in a historical moment. But my point is, don’t let this big deal overshadow the God who is sovereign over all things and using them for His glory.
Let us humble ourselves before Him in proper fear and worship Him.
