We are talking about significant numbers here.

from oct, 2019 to feb 2020 there has been 21,000 illegal entries at the northern border and 151,000 at the southern border.
CBP facilities where never designed to hold large numbers of people nor protect them from a virus.

It's a drain on our healthcare system and needed resources . that's why President Trump and the CDC are taking these steps.

Dr. Brix we continue to review the data very carefully from around the globe. We continue to see signs that individuals under 20 may have serve disease but they recover. Seeing a trend from Italy in the virus killing more twice more males than females in every age group.

The sacrifices that people are making should tell all Americans this is important and they should follow guidelines. We don't know the level of risk to children with immune problems. No new data but we should be aware. No one is immune to this virus.

If you get mild symptoms you aren't immune you just have a better immune system than others. We need everyone to follow the guidelines.
