We've all have had several days to normalize a non-normal state. It seems collectively we're at a state of maximal disinformation. A belief from a week ago may now be questioned. What sounds good now may be confirmation bias. Conspiracy theories can emerge. Rumors might spread.
Experts are still experts. What we know and don't know has not radically changed in four weeks. In particular we still don't know a lot. Actions we're all taking are informed by professional lifetimes of experience in infectious disease. Please listen…for others if not yourself.
An example of this is masks. Just today it is being suggested there is a conspiracy to not use masks as an effort to conserve. First, conserve for healthcare workers. Second, this has been studied time and time again over decades, long before this episode.
Just stay home. Thank people who are not at home making it possible for most of us to just stay home. 🙏
