CV19 : NHS doctor 'wishes they could forget faces of the dying' - Mirror Online

Patients admitted with other illnesses were fast developing Covid-19 symptoms, and hospital staff themselves could be inadvertantly spreading it.

The doctor wrote that they had "frequently" been exposed to coronavirus, and said: "For the first time in my career I have to face the fear that as a doctor I could be a silent killer."

This would echo what Italian doctors have been saying in Bergamo.
The doctors in Bergamo suggest that the hospital may be a main source of infection.

CV19 patients indirectly transmitting infections to non-CV-19 patients. Ambulances & infected personnel, esp those without symptoms, transmit CV19 to other patients & back into the community
They know the problem might be largely located within the hospital, ambulances & paramedics, but an exhausted, and sometimes poorly equipped personnel, seem helpless to stem the flow.

Just stay home. If you HAVE to go out - keep your distance. Scrupulous hygiene.

Please. Please. If only to help the poor doctors, nurses, paramedics, emergency services.

As an act of charity to the NHS if not self preservation stay at home.

It summarised S Korea’s response that they built on the back of errors they made in MERS and western countries are repeating.

They knew it was coming their way in December.

Government isolation centres were prepared
Phone credit card data used to trace movements & find contacts
Those data are used to geographically locate when and where that person walked and those data are streamed into people’s phones so they are alterted and know where to avoid and to consider if they may be at risk.

19 deaths associate with London (inc Kingston upon Thames and Epsom)

There also seems to be a cluster around Manchester & Salford : 7

To infect a lung cell CV19 must insert its genes hijacking the lung cell’s own genetic factory. That, in turn, begins to set in motion a viral protein factory. Super efficient, creating millions of new virus.
But they need human proteins to work. The virus has 29 genes, 26 of them acting like the factory foreman directing the production line.

So which human proteins do these little bastards need to function?

Researchers have identified 322 human proteins ID so far!

Let's be clear on this:

The people who voted for something that left us with fewer doctors/nurses than we would have had, just before a deadly pandemic where we're going to be short on doctors/nurses, don't get to complain that those who warned against it, are pointing that out.

The violence in London appalls and terrifies me. A thread by an #NHS Doctor (and #Tottenham resident and father) /Thread
1. I’m a hospital doctor. My wife is a surgeon. We see first hand the raw catastrophic damage this violence is wreaking on these children.
2. Major trauma, whether that’s gun/knife/car, is dealt with at amazing units like the Royal London. The surgery can be brutal: chests are split like clams, abdomens incised within minutes, even whole arteries clamped shut. Anything to stop the bleeding, to save a young life.
