Yesterday I asked @SanDiegoCounty officials what their modeling told us about when SD will hit its peak number of #coronavirus cases. Today they provided an update and personally all I can tell you is that the information is causing me some anxiety... 
The modeling says this: We may not hit our peak number of cases for at least 6 more weeks (which is good in a way, minus the lockdown) but when we hit that peak, it's possible we still won't have enough hospital beds and other equipment to treat all the hospitalized patients
I have never experienced anything else in nature or news that on the one hand is so fast-moving (the info changes hour to hour) and on the other hand is moving like molasses. Whose got the right metaphor me here?
Like, "Everyone we may run out of hospital capacity in six weeks, but in the meantime just continue to calmly Zoom among yourselves"
PS: They could not say whether that line reflects the true peak or if it might actually go higher. They said they are trying to refine the model and will provide more info later.
PPS: The green line represents the spread of COVID-19 cases if we did nothing. The green line is based on the social distancing measures we put in place. But our hospital capacity may still get maxed out!
