The fact there haven’t been nonstop ads on every channel with health experts telling people what to do and contrasting this with the widespread beliefs/misinformation peddled by the Trump admin is allowing misinformation to influence public behavior at the worst possible moment.
We didn’t need $900 million in ads promoting a failed candidate for president. We need a $900 million public health campaign that explicitly combats misinformation and reaches every American on every platform every hour.
And if companies like Facebook, Twitter and Google want to help, they should allow those ads to stream for free.
