9793 tests (152,979 total)
I see the DH says 10.4k tests were carried out so it looks as if lab results still in the pipeline.
Good news

4324 +ves (29,474 total) 2.2 tests for 1 +ve

563 hospitalised died (2352 total) 7.9%

ONS recording community deaths.
I also see that there is testing capacity if 12799 for inpatient testing suggesting that Hospital Labs are now picking up capacity for testing. That, too is good news

We need to understand from @DHSCgovuk how community testing will expand, inc of those dying in the community.
Here are @jneill ‘s helpful graphs.

ONS death data lags a week or two behind @DHSCgovuk hospital deaths. I think, in the interests of good management and transparency, @DHSCgovuk should include the ONS COVID community deaths in their returns @BBCNewsnight @maitlis @cathynewman
I understand the pressures must have been intense but by now the @DHSCgovuk should be including data on hospital admissions by age band, sex and locality, including the proportion in ICU.

An important comparison to community COVID deaths that should also be stratified that way.
I omitted to include @jneill helpful graphs.

We need to have some comaritive sense of how many are dying in the community especially if we are to avoid the horrendous care home scandal experienced in Spain.

This helps keep everyone honest. @maitlis

For instance, is the estimate correct that the proportion of community deaths v hospital amounts to 1/5th of the total (hospitalised + community COVID deaths), @DHSCgovuk
@maitlis @cathynewman

So did a total of 700 people die of COVID yesterday, c560 hospital/140 community?
These are not just numbers @DHSCgovuk @maitlis @cathynewman

These are human beings who died from COVID elsewhere than in hospitals and are as deserving of testing,recognition & importance as hospital deaths

I recognise collating the data is more cumbersome but it must be done.
Here are the ONS data and explanation about how they have calculated Coronavirus deaths, that lag by a week or two.

Remember that deaths from other infectious diseases may fall due to social distancing and hygiene measures, a sign they work.

@jneill

Also a reminder that these do not include NI and Scottish community COVID deaths although discussions are taking place to try and address this.
@jneill look at the gap between the daily @DHSCgovuk deaths and the ONS deaths by date of death registered by 25/3/2020
