Nick Brown is staying on as Chief a Whip and Angela Smith as Opposition Leader in the Lords

Starmer’s team say that @EmilyThornberry will be staying in the Shadow Cabinet and further positions will be finalised on Monday
And of course @AngelaRayner as Deputy Leader

Lavery, Gardiner and Trickett have left. Am told, however, that just because people haven’t left today doesn’t mean they won’t tomorrow...
In the meantime, it’s so far, it’s very much the return of the soft left...
Also a milestone-Labour might not have its first permanent female leader but @AnnelieseDodds will be the first woman to be Shadow Chancellor (and indeed Chancellor if she makes it to office).
Nick Brown is the great survivor of modern Labour parliamentary politics. Chief Whip under four Labour leaders, a job he first held in 1997 (!) As he showed last year, it’s because he’s very good at it...

NEW: Latest ONS data on #Covid19 shows much higher death rate figures than even we thought. On 27th March the Dept of Health reported 926 total deaths in England. NHS’ revised figures say that in hospitals alone that figure was in fact 1,649.
Why the difference? NHS revised figures allow exploration of cause of death to be carried out, daily figures are more crude and instant.
In the week to 27th March, London was the worst hit region in England and Wales from #covid19 with 237 deaths. Coronavirus therefore accounts for 18.3% of all deaths in London that week.

NEW: The Prime Minister has been taken to intensive care.

Number 10: “Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the Prime Minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital.”
PM was moved to intensive care at 7pm

Before he went he asked Dominic Raab to deputise for him. As far as coronavirus is concerned, Raab is the effective acting Prime Minister
Question will be whether, if the PM gets worse, the PM may have to temporarily resign and someone take the full responsibilities of the office

Assuming the PM is in intensive care, there will be, assuming recovery, a period of convalescence which could take some time

NEW: Danish PM Mette Frederiksen has announced that because #covid19 in Denmark is under control, she intends to open nurseries and schools for the youngest children after Easter. She says it’s the first stage of a “controlled reopening.”
Danish PM does say, however, that if Danes stop practising social distancing over Easter than the controlled reopening won’t happen.
But Frederiksen says that whatever happens with the rest of the unwinding of the lockdown, mass gatherings will continue to be prohibited in Denmark until the end of August.

However...
It's likely there are donations that are *not* on today's list, because Sir Keir has a 28-day window to declare each one to the Commons.

The only cash donations he declared today were accepted on January 27 and declared on February 21: 25 days later.
In other words, any donations Keir Starmer received after Feb 3 didn't have to be declared today. And no donations from after Feb 3 were.

This is a big deal in the eyes of Long-Bailey's team, who say delays will mean most members have voted by the time funding is fully disclosed

Existing eight Group A services of the Railways will be reorganised into a Central Service called Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS)
Unification of services will end 'departmentalism', promote smooth working of Railways, expedite decision making, create a coherent vision for organisation and promote rational decision making
Railway board will no longer be organised on departmental lines, and replaced with leaner structure organised on functional lines

Railway Board to be headed by Chairman Railway Board (CRB) who will be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with 4 Members and some Independent Members

- 50% of registered voters support impeaching POTUS. 39% oppose. !! +11 is up from -12 in July. !!
- 36% of Indies and 11% of Reps support impeachment

- 51% of RVs support impeachment AND removal from office, 39% oppose
- 67% of registered voters say that “abuse of power” warrants removal from office
- 68% of RVs say the same about obstruction of justice
- 71% of RVs say that perjury warrants removal
- 59% of registered voters say they believe it is illegal for the president “to threaten withholding foreign aid to a country if that country refuses to take action that benefits the president”
- 69% of RVs say it would be inappropriate for a president to do this
