.@amitabhk87: The financial architecture wasn’t designed for #climatechange. There is a vast amount of capital available for climate change, but it will flow in when the risks are mitigated. For risks to be mitigated the financial architecture needs to be altered.

.@amitabhk87: If the developing world wishes to have #green, #resilient and #inclusive growth, it will only happen with concessional financing which would enable technology leapfrogging.

.@amitabhk87: The #COP21 commitments made have not been lived up to and the looming fear is that the #COP26 commitments will not be met either.

The developed world has not lived up to its commitments. The action is NOW, not for 2050.

Gwendoline Abunaw: We have to participate in socially responsible finance for #women, #startups and entrepreneurs who are supporting the growth of the #greeneconomy.

Gwendoline Abunaw: Key players such as financial institutions have to take the lead to help understand why it is necessary for economies to be #sustainable and scalable.

.@Joojin_SFOC: There has to be an emerging economy side to support the #greentransition that has to take place, along with financing from developed nations.

.@KettelThomsen: The #climate challenge cannot be solved with public money alone, private capital has to be included and mobilised.

.@KettelThomsen: The capacity to deploy people with the required financial and technical skills to engage in #greentransition projects is constrained for many countries in the world.

Gwendoline Abunaw: In our economies, we don’t have long-term money, venture capitalists or the risk appetite for investment in green businesses.

Gwendoline Abunaw: To transition properly, improving human well-being and reducing inequalities by leveraging #digital financial inclusion would be critical.

Gwendoline Abunaw: As financial institutions, we have to be bold with our #CSR frameworks. That would begin the #greentransition process for others to follow.

.@KettelThomsen: It is important to have a language or measurement to understand what is actually green, similar to the #EU taxonomy framework.
