Somewhere in our collective consciousness is this tendency to expect "real truths" to be bitter and painful - even unpleasant
Similarly we have this tendency to expect that if something is cozy, soothing, and makes us feel all warm inside, it must be a comfortable illusion
So here are some truths. Love is all that matters and it's what makes everything worth it.
It is eminently possible to know true from false and good from evil, and it matters.
Some things are really worth it. They're worth our effort and our sacrifice.
I don't know how much difference I've made, if any. I don't know how much difference I'll end up making, if any. But I'll never regret that I tried.
The opposite of hope isn't despair. We all go through bouts of despair occasionally. The reason why we despair is because we hope, because we care. No, the opposite of hope is cynicism.
And the opposite of fear isn't safety. The opposite of fear is love.
