6. The AEC had the IT company it contracted hold on to encrypted scans of votes for ten months longer than necessary at a cost of an extra $13,800 per month.... that's about $138,000 in total....
7. Not just cyber - Commission also failed to meet its own deadlines for transporting ballot papers to scanning centres. Planned transport costs of $5.3 million became $8.7 million. Delivery deadline of 18 days blew out to 29.
