A budget is a statement of priorities and values, and #TrumpBudget has made it abundantly clear that Trump does not care about the health of our families, our communities, our oceans, our rivers, or our public lands or keeping toxics away from our kids or out of our air and water
It seems like the only things the people in the Trump Administration care about are their own self-interest and the corporate polluters and billionaires that are running this administration. #TrumpBudget

Our money goes to fund tax cuts for billionaires, but not toward protecting our waters and our lands and our wildlife.
While corporate polluters run wild & Pruitt is gutting clean air & water safeguards, Trump and Pruitt want to slash the EPA budget -- they are looking for even BIGGER cuts this year -- 34%. Its easier to not enforce laws polluters hate when we don’t pay the watchdogs on the beat
While Trump is pushing an infrastructure proposal that could sell off public lands & shred laws that safeguard our natural legacy & wildlife, Trump & Zinke want to slash the Interior budget that protects oceans, parks, rivers & streams, while raising fees on the parks we love.
While Trump is trying to let oil, gas & coal companies rake in billions in tax breaks while dumping their pollution wherever they want, Trump & Perry are cutting funds for clean energy that is creating more jobs than fossil fuels while costing consumers less money. #TrumpBudget
Environmental and energy programs make up roughly 1% of total spending. Cutting these priorities will do nothing to decrease deficits. #TrumpBudget
We will not accept platitudes about fiscal discipline by the same people who forked over billions in tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans. We will not accept platitudes about the environment by people who would sacrifice the health of our kids so polluters can make a quick buck

In sum, #TrumpBudget is a shameful, ideological document that represents the extent to which Donald Trump has fully given himself over to corporate special interests above all else.
Trump now must sell this budget to members of Congress that will see, in each of their districts, jobs lost, communities threatened, and deep opposition from their constituents. #TrumpBudget
Any member of Congress who would back draconian cuts like these is failing to represent the American people, and may find they need to start updating their resume very soon. #TrumpBudget
Last year, many members of Congress called Trump’s 2018 budget “dead on arrival.” This budget is no different and should meet the same fate. #TrumpBudget
