1) Ignoring Twitter for 2 days now, and I'm going to start my hiatus right after I get this off my chest.
2) Back when Vegas happened, I embarked on a bit of an academic project. The goal was to determine the political leanings of mass shooters.
3) I made a fair bit of headway until I realized with abject horror what he hell I was doing.
4) I was tallying up bodycounts. They were just numbers. The names were just names. Dead, maimed for life, the shooters, everyone was just data at that moment.
5) Let's say I did complete this, make some chart that went viral showing that Democrats and their kids were the ones going insane and killing dozens of people. What then?
6) Would ANY of the victims pop back to life and say, "Thanks to you, my death had meaning, thanks for making a political point out of it!"
7) Would ANY of the living victims or the victims families give two flying fucks if the murderous fucking moron had even registered to vote?
8) The media, the Democrats, the blue checkmark brigade, THEY want to use bodies as props to make political points, they want to virtuously dick wave over the number of dead bodies.
9) I hate them. I don't WANT to be like them. So why the fuck was I doing this fucking research?
10) I deleted my notes, deleted my citation list, deleted the excel sheet, and abandoned the effort entirely to never think about it again.
11) I don't give a shit what this murderous loser was. I don't care which 'side' he was on. I don't care what group he was with, ISIS, NRA, Antifa, it doesn't matter to me.
12) His victims are dead and they're not coming back. The next 2 weeks will be painful pointless arguments and virtue signalling. No one who can do something about it gives a shit about creating actual solutions.
13) But sure, go ahead, chase rabbits about him being ANTIFA if that makes you feel any better about 17 dead kids. Sounds great. I'm fucking done for 2 days with this shit, hopefully it simmers down by then. Comrade Fudge, OUT.
