Here is the White House memo on the terms they are asking for in exchange for doing anything to bring premiums down for even 1 year.

I will explain the three items below in this thread. 2/

Item 1: The White House is asking Congress to codify the junk insurance policies highlighted in this column I wrote yesterday. This says let insurance companies create fine print policies that can discriminate against ppl w pre-existing conditions. 3/

Item 2: Trump is insisting on an age-tax to massively increase costs for people over 50 in order to support any deal. 4/

Item 3: The White House has created a new term “life protected.” This means policies must not provide for family planning for women. Remember it is already the law that Federal $ don’t pay for abortion. This looks like it aims to go well beyond. 5/

This document is the equivalent from walking away from the table from the “promise” they supposedly made to Susan Collins— the one that bought her vote on the tax bill. 6/

The policies would raise costs for seniors, people w illnesses, women and add unacceptable conservative policies while raising costs for low income population.

Why choose between sabotage, bad faith and higher costs when you can do all three. That’s where Trump is. /end
