Kevin McCarthy, who is seeking to replace Paul Ryan, tried to strip health insurance from millions of Americans and has fought fiercely against LGBT rights. Microsoft, Oracle, Google and Facebook PACs have given him as much money as they legally can. fec.gov/data/receipts/?
People have made the argument that "this is just how the system works," and we need to get over it. But Apple doesn't run a PAC, and they seem to be doing okay. I believe if employees make enough noise over this flagrant hypocrisy, they can get it shut down.

Apple is a surprisingly useful counterexample in tech stuff.

It's technically impossible to make a secure consumer phone, except Apple does it.
It's politically impossible for a large corporation to avoid paying political bribes through a PAC, except Apple doesn't do it.
Counterpoint: it's possible to make a power cord that doesn't disintegrate after gentle use, but Apple can't seem to do it.
