Toxic misogyny is not a mental illness - it is misogyny. The Toronto murderer was not mentally ill - he was a misogynist who hated women.
You can be mentally ill and not be a misogynist. You can be a misogynist and be mentally ill. They are not the same thing and I'm tired of people excusing misogyny by claiming it's just a terrible mental illness.
If you think it's hard to believe that someone could hate women so much that they would commit murder, talk to a woman.
