It took my legs a few minutes to warm up this morning, but glad to report that long morning walks remain easy, in contrast to later in the day. #Totnes is waking up beautifully ☀️
5 miles walked this morning, with no adverse effects. Then strimmed & mowed a lawn. Great to not be worried about my heart and lungs as I got a real workout from the gardening. However, I'm mindful of the warnings of some with #LongCovid that I should continue to pace myself.

Spent more time in the garden today. Insect populations are booming! A bit of sunshine really helps to lift the spirits.

Had a run of 3 good days, but just tried doing *some* of the things my lungs had allowed me to do over the weekend & over-did it by fixing the ball-cock in the toilet cistern! Lowered my guard; lungs are tight again (first time in 10 days) & I'm lightheaded. #PulmonaryEmbolism

Day 3 of #Omicron symptoms was my worst so far, with fatigue & a very heavy head, alongside sneezing. My tight chest, feeling of reduced lung capacity and tickly lung sensation had subsided slightly, as did the coughing, that had become painful on Day 2 #Oximeter down to 96%... I slept a lot on Day 3.

But now it's 1am on Day 4 and I feel full of life. Fatigue gone. No more headache. Slight wheeze still, Oximeter 96%; no appetite, but sense of smell and taste are fine.

Wonder whether the worst is over, as I'm double AZ-jabbed plus Pfizer-boosted?
I can't find evidence of people relapsing into worsening symptoms post-Day 3, but my lungs are my weakness... Am I good right now because I slept so much over the last 3 days?

Tomorrow I begin my participation in the @UniofOxford #Molnupiravir (antiviral) trial.

How Covid-19 took my father, my teacher away
As the second wave hit close to home, Indian Express journalist recounts his days and nights in a #COVID19 ward as he watched his father slip away. His account narrates the pain of millions in India.
"It was May 1, my wife Chitra’s birthday. But my mind was in my hometown of Tarapur in Bihar’s Munger where my parents live. The previous night, I had video-called my father Sanjay Prasad Singh, a retired English teacher, and chided him for hiding his fever from me..."

I think there is a greater responsibility on patients too.

Doctors say, 80% effort has to be from patients. If a patient does not follow #COVID19 protocols/instructions given by Doctor, panics then it will be more difficult

Indeed, I got #COVID19 🤒My symptoms were high fever, short breadth, cough, and tiredness. Luckily it was not too bad, I have no other conditions, so I healed at home in 2 weeks. I am completely fine now, so don't worry!😊These things, above all, helped with my healing:
(1 ~ 5)
(2~ 5)1⃣#Paracetamol kept my fever under control. I avoided #Ibuprofen as a matter of precaution as there were some concerns spreading. Not sure they were scientifically supported, but Paracetamol was good enough for me so I sticked to that,
(3~ 5)2⃣For the breathing I bought an #aerosol nebulizer on #Amazon and inhaled saline solutions twice a day (shipped from Germany, as in the UK a prescription is needed). I also took cough suppressant syrup, and drank A LOT of hot liquids (ginger and lemon🍋).
