I was speaking at a corporate launch. I cracked some jokes, and one in particular was how "diabetes and hypertension had no symptoms, so most sufferers were blissfully unaware until it's too late, like an MCA member."

The crowd laughed, and then went, "OOOOOOoooooohhh..."

Years of doing comedy taught me that that sound meant only one thing : There was an MCA member in the audience.

"Is there an MCA member here?"

The crowd enthusiastically pointed to a gentleman standing right at the back, who was a very good sport, I must say.

"This is awkward. I didn't know you guys actually still exist"

Crowd laughed again.

Finally, I said, "Please sir, you don't have to behave so MCA-like. Here, have a seat.", while I pointed to an empty chair in the front row.

Crowd went ballistic.

I live for moments like this.
