Like every other normal person it seems impossible to believe that Melania Trump intentionally wore that jacket to send a message about family separations. And yet as a logical person I have to accept that she did. Because no other explanation makes any sense.
/ The debate about it, that it ‘raises questions’, the search for innocent explanations is comical enough that it almost adds some mirth to the general awfulness of the moment. See here washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/styl…
/ It amazes me that we’re still talking about an oversight or unintended message. I don’t present myself as an expert on women’s fashion. But I know enough to know that the percentage of accessories and garments that have multi-word statements written on them is quite low.
/ Not non-existent. I’ve seen them. But half a dozen words and that prominent on the back? Rare. The idea that you wear something like that after a week or people calling your husband and family and administration heartless assholes or don’t care and it’s an accident ...
/ is frankly an insult to Melania’s intelligence, let alone mine and yours. So yeah, hard to believe and yet obviously true. Melania seems to be as awful a person as her husband, which is amazing and yet really unsurprising.
