(1) So if we’re talking about Media & @Facebook bias...

After a GOP debate in 2015, @tedcruz made a comment about the govt monitoring phone records. There was a question of whether it was classified. NBC wrote this story... so far so good... nbcnews.com/politics/2016-…
(2) The next day, NBC’s Meet the Press decided to promote the article through a sponsored post on Facebook... still so far so good.
(3) But on Dec 16, the story was essentially debunked and disproven, as the supposed classified info was previously published in the WSJ. There was no issue.. latimes.com/nation/politic…
(4) But that didn’t stop NBC Meet the press from promoting the ad.. they were still asking “Did Ted Cruz Share Classified Info?” - but the question was settled.. here is is a few days later on Dec 22...
(5) In fact, after FIVE more debates and FOUR primaries had already took place... NBC was still running what essentially was a negative add against @tedcruz. Here’s a screenshot from February 28 - over two months later...
(6) despite being debunked 5 months earlier... @MeetThePress was STILL paying to post this #fakenews article against Cruz. This is during the height of the primaries.
(6) did people notice... you betcha. Folks alerted them many times throughout the spring. But the article kept coming as new in their newsfeeds.
How many people saw it? 1,435 people shared it. Did other outlets run #fakenews sponsored posts? This being NBC, it seems like it would influence more voters than some clearly Hillary meme the Russians paid $100k for.
