Investors in YC companies please remember. When you make extremely non-standard complicated requests, waste founder time, don’t follow handshake deals, take forever to wire money, or otherwise screw around with a YC company during fundraising the following happens:
1) YC Partners are told immediately (we have a WhatsApp group with every single company)
2) It’s written up in the YC investor database for future YC founders to read
3) It’s communicated to YC legal team so that they can advise the company on how to respond
4) It’s often told to fellow batchmates...
It’s a small community. We tell our founders to be polite, respectful of your time, and follow industry best practices. Investors please follow the same advice. We are watching.
And if you see a founder not acting correctly - please email me and I’ll be happy to reach out to them. Michael@ycombinator.com

When I talk to founders often I am very very direct and that can come off as inconsiderate. This is not my intention...
When I first came out to the valley I asked a lot of people for advice on how to make my startup great. What I got was a lot of luke warm, overly nice, and not very useful guidance. (YC was the exception)
I think the reason why was that I often asked investors for advice and they have mixed motivations. They never want to burn a bridge that can prevent them for getting access to a good investment...

Advice to non-technical founders looking for a tech co-founder:
1) It’s hard but important. Stick with it. Trust that this is just one of the many many hard things you’ll have to do to succeed.
2) Consider whether or not you need to work on your idea. Perhaps you should help a tech-cofounder with their idea (that’s what I did at Justin.tv).

The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.

another thing about the straw ban: poor ppl/ ppl in food deserts who can stretch their dollars farther at a fast food spot or neighborhood takeout joint will still need to eat and drink. some folks have fast food allowances on their SNAP cases because they live in food deserts.
some people are poor *and* disabled *and* living in food deserts. then what?
the more i examine some of these explanations and arguments for the straw ban, the more apparent it becomes that people are invested in getting rid of stuff they personally think is bad/ wasteful.
