in @GrogsGamut's excellent chart below, our "paris" target (~435Mt) is as far below the x-axis as our current emissions are above it!

(excluding land use "LULCF", because the stats are generally considered BS)
the short-lived carbon price reduced annual emissions by 16.3Mtpa.
since @TonyAbbottMHR repealed it, emissions have increased 32.7Mtpa.
