Now, he does move on to Kavanaugh questions.
“What he’s gone through in the past three weeks is incredible,” Trump says of Kavanaugh, “It’s unfair to him” and his wife and children. “He’s not from this world,” Trump says of Kavanaugh, who worked in the George W. Bush White House before being nominated to the DC Circuit.
Trump says he is placing no limits on the FBI — other than what the Senate Republicans place on it: “I’m guided by the Senate. The Senate is making a judgment on Judge Kavanaugh. ... I’m instructing them on what the Senate wants.”
Asked whether he thinks all three named accusers should be interviewed, “It wouldn’t bother me at all,” Trump says.
Trump: “I think that the FBI should interview anyone that they want, within reason.”

Trump on whether he could change his mind on Kavanaugh pending the FBI: “I’m waiting just like you. Certainly if they find something ... I have a very open mind. ... I think he’s an outstanding person. ... They didn’t need to treat him as viciously and violently as they did.”
