This might - and I emphasize might - be straight-up perjury by Kavanaugh. But it needs:
1. Confirmation.
2. Two Republican Senators with a backbone and a conscience.
Both will be hard to find...
2/ Lordy, there are texts.
I'm starting to think that confirmation of Kavanaugh's perjury might be easy.
And Flake is on the record: lying is a deal-breaker.

3/ Here’s the article with reports of texts: “The texts between friends of Kavanaugh suggest that the nominee was personally talking with former classmates about Ramirez’s story in advance of the New Yorker article that made her allegation public...”
nbcnews.com/politics/supre…
4/ ”In one message, Yarasavage said Kavanaugh asked her to go on the record in his defense. Two other messages show communication between Kavanaugh's team and former classmates in advance of the story.”
6/ @MSNBC just played audio of Kavanaugh lying under oath answering a question from what sounded like Sen Hatch.
Kavanaugh said he didn’t know about this allegation until the story was published. (I’m listening on radio @HardballChris)
7/ Here is the transcript. Kavanaugh tells a bald-faced lie to @senorrinhatch @OrrinHatch.
And now we are also talking about witness tampering.
9/ Another counterpoint. This story needs clarification. The timing of texts are important, but perjury is very hard to prove. This comes down to what level of overall lying Flake etc. are willing to ignore.
